A sculptural vessel wet‑felted from natural and hand-dyed Merino wool & silk, layered so the colours harmonise across the form. The interior is nuno-felted with an abstract pattern in silk, inviting the viewer to look within as well as around the piece — to consider the inner space as part of the artwork.
Its softly rounded body and pierced, undulating rim recall the delicacy of a carved and decorated gourd, while the surface pattern and colour transitions evoke organic growth and erosion.
This piece balances structure and softness, precision and chance — a tactile exploration of containment and openness.
